PROFHILO
Rejuvenate, Hydrate and Stimulate Collagen Production
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from pure hyaluronic acid (HA).
Although it contains HA, it is not a dermal filler and is commonly referred to as an 'injectable moisturiser' due to its long-lasting hydrating effects. It is also classed as a skin remodelling treatment, as it triggers the production of collagen and elastin, which deplete as we age.
Profhilo differs from competing products due to the high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (64mg/2ml) which dramatically improves skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age.
Who is it suitable for?
PROFHILO is for anyone who would benefit from increased skin hydration, or more collagen and elastin.
Typically, clients are aged over 30 and are looking for an overall improvement in skin quality or they may have more specific skin issues they wish to treat and improve, such as crepey skin on the face and neck, or skin laxity on the lower face/jawline.
The treatment works very well to rejuvenate the back of the hands, making them look smoother and younger, and can also be administered to tighten loose skin on the arms.
How is it administered?
Profhilo is injected using a technique known as the BAP technique.
Injecting the product at specific points (Bio Aesthetic Points) on the face is seen as the safest and optimum method for placing the product.
Using these five injection sites on each side of the face, which are away from major blood vessels and nerves, reduces complications and maximises the diffusion of the product through the mid and lower face.
Will it hurt?
The treatment can be a little uncomfortable and there are only a few injection points. Numbing cream can be applied if desired, and a slow injection technique is used to reduce pain and lower the possibility of bruising.
Immediately after treatment there may be some redness/tenderness at the injection sites but this normally subsides within 24 hours.
How many sessions will I need?
To achieve optimum results, the PROFHILO course is administered over 2 appointments, with treatments one month apart.A further treatment can be performed 2 months after the second, should there be more severe ageing/skin laxity present.
When will I see results?
The hydrating effects of Profhilo can be seen within a few days of treatment, giving the skin a luminous, healthy glow.
Over the following weeks, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, causing the skin to tighten and wrinkles/crepiness to reduce. The best results will appear 4-6 weeks after your second treatment.
Profhilo can be combined with other aesthetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, microneedling and a good medical skincare regime for even better results.
How long will the results last?
Results last approximately 6-9 months but this can vary between individuals and depends on age, skin type and lifestyle. To maintain results, a single session every 6 months is recommended.
